African Storytelling Workshops
Experience the rich history and myths of the African continent
with our interactive African Storytelling Workshops.
There may be no fires to sit around in our urban settings, but
story telling lives on! Stories were told to make children aware
of the world and to encourage good values in their lives.
Our African Storytelling workshop is an age old tradition, and serves as oral vehicle for imparting values and cultural ethics to the younger generation while providing entertainment and recreation. Historically, African Storytelling was essentially a communal participatory experience and therefore ideally for school environments. Stories are told by our authentic West African storytellers with the emphasis on full interaction through song, chant, music, or dance.

African Storytelling Workshop & Music
@ St Vincent Primary School
Participants also have the opportunity to discover, touch and
play beautiful hand-made instruments. The beauty of African
storytelling is that it is fashioned around myths and cosmological
beliefs with wonderfully expressive characters and adventures designed
to stimulate imagination.
As with all our workshops, African Storytelling can be customised to meet the needs of participants. All Stories are chosen and adapted according to various age groups. We recommend that African Storytelling workshops be combined with either African Dance or Music to make the workshop more interactive to participants.

"I am writing to thank you for all your efforts during the recent Theatrical mask making workshop you delivered to our year 10 and 12 BTEC Performing Arts students. It was clearly evident you had spent considerable time and energy preparing and planning the day.
The students clearly enjoyed the workshop and the opportunity it gave them to them explore materials and techniques they would not normally use. For me it was fantastic to see them all so eager and really enjoying their work, and I was thoroughly impressed with the work produced. Once again, thank you for a very productive and enjoyable day"
Mrs L Cassidy
The Astley Cooper College
"I want to extend a huge thank you, for the street dance workshop you delivered to our school. It was so refreshing to see everyone from young to old, students to teachers absolutely 100% enjoying themselves. You managed to put a smile on about 200 kid’s faces. It was hip and trendy with a bit of attitude.
We look forward to working with you in the future. Thanks again!
